Being in the import/domestic automotive aftermarket industry for over 30 years, and assisting in the founding of companies such as HKS and TRD, we are no stranger to bringing the highest quality products to the automotive aftermarket at competitive prices.

Our History

It all started with Luckey (our R&D guy) challenged by dropping a small block Ford V-8 into a Toyota Corona Hardtop back in 1968 in Japan. Luckey knew it would work, others were skeptical -- who was this American, this foreigner in Japan, who took it upon himself to try to blend the engine of an American car into the chassis of a Japanese car?

The installation was successful, and the resulting vehicle became the terror of Koshikaido in 1969 to 1970. With that, this American hotrodder drew enough attention to become the first foreigner living in Japan to have his vehicle featured in a Japanese magazine (Driver Magazine, Dec. 1969). He was hooked -- automobiles would be his life's work.

Throughout Luckey's career in Japan, he befriended many auto enthusiasts and key figures in auto-related Japanese businesses, graduated with a double major in business and economics from a Japanese University and worked in the import-export field in Japan. Luckey returned to the States because he was offered the position of starting TRD in Gardena, CA with an official from TRD Japan. That led to another position opening up HKS in Torrance, CA.

Luckey's next career move was to use all his valuable experience from Japan and his time working with the Japanese to open up his own import-export company. At that time (1988), he co-founded a company in Japan for distribution of K&N air filter products. That company would later become K&N Japan of which he is one of the directors. With all of his unique work experience and the fact that he instinctively understands both Japanese and American cultures and methodologies, it was a natural course of events.

Today, his vision and desire to produce a quality product for the industry he serves has resulted in HoseTechniques. Our goal is to provide the auto enthusiast with a very unique, good-looking, quality product: World Class Silicone Hose in a variety of configurations, from vacuum hose to turbo hose, and associated accessories.

Knowing that this market demands the highest quality at the lowest price, all HoseTechniques' hose is quality controlled for color consistency and strength before it is shipped to dealers, distributors, and to end users. Every product is carefully inspected, and there is a lifetime warranty to the end-user against manufacturing defects.
